Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE) will provide free information and education for Dayton residents.

ABLE Law to Provide Legal Assistance and Information

ABLE staff can provide information on setting up a clean transfer of title to property upon someone's passing away and on dealing with challenges concerning the title to property of someone who has already passed away. They can explain and provide forms for:

-Transfer on Death Affidavit for Real Property

-Financial Power of Attorney

-Healthcare Power of Attorney

They will also provide helpful information on specific title and deed issues including property/home address, parcel number and copy of deed.

ABLE can also explain the advantages and disadvantages of having a will and can explain how the probate process works and changes title in property.
