Chief Executive Officer

Gina McFarlane-El is the founder and CEO of Five Rivers Health Centers that serves Montgomery and Greene Counties.  Funded as a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in 2013, FRHC has grown from three to eight sites including two School-Based Health Center locations, and has grown from serving 12,000 to over 27,000 patients with over 90,000 visits. In April 2022, FRHC built the largest FQHC facility in Ohio in the wonderful Edgemont neighborhood of West Dayton. Since starting Five Rivers Health Centers, it has expanded from only providing primary care, including OB/GYN services, to adding dental, psychiatry, vision, podiatry and 20 other services for patients, regardless of their ability to pay.

 

Gina has a Master’s in Business Administration and Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University in New York and a Bachelor of Arts from the HBCU’s Fisk University in Nashville. She is the recipient of the Ohio’s Healthcare Consumer Advocacy Award, Shero of Health Award from the Ohio Commission of Minority Health and Public Health Montgomery County, Dayton Business Journal’s Power 50 Most Influential Women award (three times) and 2022 YWCA Women of Influence award. With more than 30 years of experience in health care management, Gina is a board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland- Cincinnati Bank and CityWide Development, and an Advisory Council member of Wright-Patt Credit Union. Born in New York City and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, Gina is the proud mother of three adult children, and three granddaughters. As a kidney donor to her cousin Cecelia, 18 years later they are both doing well. After commuting from Cincinnati to Dayton for over 30 years, she is excited to say that she is now a downtown Daytonian.

Mamle Anim

MD, Chief Medical Officer

Most recently, Dr. Anim was vice chair for ambulatory education in the department of internal medicine at Wright State University.  Dr. Anim continues in her faculty position with the university as an associate professor of medicine and is a graduate of the University of Zambia School of Medicine in 1990.  She has been a faculty member at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine since completing her residency at the same institution in 1997.  She completed a Primary Care Faculty Development Fellowship at Michigan State University in 1999.  She was previously medical director in the internal medicine resident clinics at Good Samaritan Hospital and Miami Valley Hospital and assistant program director of the Wright State Internal Medicine residency program.

Tara Roesch

Chief Financial Officer

Tara Roesch joined Five Rivers Health Centers in 2014 as billing manager and most recently served as director of revenue cycle.  Prior to FRHC, she was the practice administrator and billing manager for two podiatry practices.  Roesch earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati.

Chief People Officer

Mindy Lindsey serves as Chief People Officer and was our 1st employee hired. She has over 17 years of Human Resource and Management experience.  Prior to joining FRHC, Mindy Lindsey served as the Vice-President of Unified Health Solutions with responsibilities including Human Resources and Operations.  Prior to her five and a half years at Unified Health Solutions, Mindy Lindsey worked in Human Resources for Fifth Third Bank and Lexmark International, Inc.  Mindy Lindsey received her Bachelors of Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.

Michele Wood

Michele Wood

RN, BSN, Chief Clinical Officer

Michele Wood has been working in healthcare for 34 years and started her career in the US Navy as a hospital corpsman. She moved up from a MA to LPN, to a Healthcare Manager.  She retired from the Navy after 20 years in 2010 and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas in 2012. Michele started as the Family Health Center Manager and was promoted as the Clinical Director- North.
